The Lake is thirsty.
It has been thirsty for days.
Dry, brown, lifeless grass lines it banks,
And then I notice,
the grass close to the source of water
still shows signs of life.
With the exception of a few green things growing along the edge
Signs of life are slowly disappearing
reminding me of myself
when my soul is thirsty
It doesn’t take long for a lake to get dry.
It doesn’t take long for me either
The difference for me is this:
When my soul is thirsty
you lead me to the
“Springs Of Living Water”
Which never run dry.
Jeremiah 7:17b . . . the Lord, the spring of living water.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eye.
